But the Mercury Prize-nominated artist has reportedly dropped out due to “unforeseen circumstances”.

The festival organisers announced on Tuesday that J Hus would not take the stage at The Valley as planned on Sunday.

Parklife’s official Instagram page also released a statement, which read: “Unfortunately due to unforeseen circumstances, J Hus will no longer be performing at this year’s festival.”

On a positive note, they added: “With over 100 acts gracing Heaton Park this weekend, we look forward to welcoming everyone to Parklife 2024 on Saturday.

“Please check the Parklife App to stay up to date with any updates from this weekend’s programme. PL team.”

Parklife, which is the UK’s biggest city festival, is also set to host a number of huge acts over the two days.

Doja Cat, Disclosure, Kaytranada, Peggy Gou, Four Tet, Sugababes, Mia Archives, Barry Can’t Swim and many more will feature.

But J Hus’ absence has left fans across the country disappointed and many have already taken to social media to share their frustration.

One wrote: “This is f****** ridiculous Parklife…#JHus.”

A second posted: “I only bought tickets to see J Hus, gutted he’s not performing now.”

Parklife Festival started in 2010, making this year’s edition it’s tenth year.

It was originally held at Platt Fields Park in Rusholme, under the guise of Mad Ferret Festival.

It moved to its current location in 2013, with previous headliners including Liam Gallagher, The 1975 and George Ezra.
