A 19-year-old motorcyclist has died after crashing into a traffic barrier. 

Emergency services were called to Sir Bertram Stevens Drive in the Royal National Park, about 30km south of Sydney’s CBD, at about 7pm on Friday. 

Paramedics treated the motorcyclist for chest, head and neck injuries. 

Despite their efforts, the 19-year-old sadly died at the scene.

‘A crime scene was established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident has commenced,’ police said in a statement. 

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
