FORMER Barstool Sports’ Alex Bennett is expecting her first child with boyfriend Harrison Fugman.
Bennett announced her pregnancy and the gender of her baby in a sweet video collage with her boyfriend.
“New chapter loading….” a video caption reads in the Instagram post.
The video then depicts various shots of Bennett and Fugman together, with one clip showing the two in an open field with pink and soft blue balloons.
The caption then reads, “Starting a family,” as Fugman is pictured holding a sonogram with Bennett lying on a hospital bed.
In the following brief clip, Fugman is aiming at what appears to be a bucket with a rifle-style gun and lets off a shot as pink smoke billows in the air.
The couple raved about the pregnancy on Bennett’s podcast, Just Alex, calling it “one of the best days of her life.”
“I’m going to be a mom, and Harrison is going to be a dad,” Bennett said, as Fugman added, “Here we go.”
“We practiced this last night because I’m pregnant. We’re having a baby, although I think we’re pregnant,” the former Barstool Sports podcaster said.
“We’re having a baby, half you, half me,” she told her boyfriend.
The news comes after Bennett and her former co-host Jordyn Woodruff left Barstool Sports last fall.
The two were the hosts of the successful Mean Girls podcast, where they conversed about sex, relationships, friendships, struggles, and adult life.
The podcast became a cash cow for the social media-heavy company that saw a handful of the show’s clips go viral online.
Bennett told The New York Post that she and Woodruff planned to leave Barstool Sports for quite some time.
“The risk was actually everything. I went through a divorce during the same time, so my finances were such a cluster, and I had nothing, and we didn’t have the funding yet,” Bennett said.
At the time, Bennett, who was married to Graham Bennett – the son of the owner of the NBA team Oklahoma City Thunder, shared how she sold her wedding ring to fund her new media company.
“I had to sell my wedding ring. It was the moment where I was just like bawling, crying,” she added.
“But also, it was the moment of, I know this works because we’re not a startup in the sense of, we didn’t have a product.”
Bennett revealed how she and her ex-husband were on bad terms, “I told him [I sold the ring] because it was such an amicable divorce.
“The whole thing was like, you can have the ring… and he loved me so much.
“It was like a really emotional thing. I didn’t tell him to be nice. It just kind of came out in a sentence one day.
“We don’t talk that often at all actually, anymore. But I just know I had this sense of peace when I was selling it.
“He wanted me to do something with it … If I would have sold it and went bought a purse, I would have never slept at night.
“But to sell it to start a company, I just know he was proud. And [Jordyn and I] are both forever grateful for that.”
Bennett’s new boyfriend, Harrison Fugman, is the founder and CEO of The Naked Market – a product company of food and beverage brands.
