A bus crash in regional New South Wales has caused road closures and delays as a police operation is underway.

Both lanes of the Mitchell Highway at Eulomogo Road at Dubbo are closed after a bus crashed just before 9.30am, according to Live Traffic NSW.

Eastbound traffic is being diverted via the Golden Highway at Dubbo while westbound traffic is being diverted via Beni Street, Barbigal St and the Golden Highway.

A police operation is underway following the crash.

Emergency services and Transport for NSW are attending the scene.
