Investigators released this CCTV image of a man they believe can assist with inquiries

Police have issued a plea for help after a woman was robbed and left with serious injuries following a horror home invasion. 

An unidentified man broke into the home on Fitzroy Road, in Rivervale in Perth’s inner-east at about 9.15pm on Friday. 

The woman, aged in her 40s, was assaulted before the man fled the home taking a mobile phone and car keys.

Paramedics from St John Ambulance were called to the Fitzroy Road home, with the woman taken to Royal Perth Hospital.

She was treated for serious but not life-threatening injuries.

Police later found the stolen phone on Armadale Road, Rivervale, at about 1.05am. The two homes sit on parallel streets.

Police have asked anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
