Police are appealing today for public help to find a missing elderly woman from Melbourne’s east.

Leonore, aged 81, was last seen leaving her nursing home at Hunter Street, Hawthorn, with a walking frame about 7.20pm yesterday. She was heading in a northerly direction.

Police and family have concerns for her welfare because she has dementia.

Leonore is described as being about 152cm tall, with a thin build, shoulder-length grey hair and was last seen wearing dark pants, a shirt, a light blue cardigan and white trainers.

Police have released photos of Leonore in the hope that someone can provide information on her current whereabouts.
