Goldcar Sydney: Fiery moment car hire worker unleashes at a customer: 'I am not your servant'

An employee at a rental car company has erupted at a customer in a confrontation caught on video.

Footage at Goldcar, just outside of Sydney’s Domestic Airport, shows the two men pointing and yelling at one another over the counter.

The worker can be heard shouting ‘I’ve been talking to you very nicely sir’ after the customer asked for his name so he could make a formal complaint against him.

The war of words then escalated when the customer told the worker to leave and gestured him towards a back door.

‘I am not your servant!’ the furious worker shouted in the man’s face before being escorted away by a co-worker.

The video split opinions online after it was posted to TikTok.

‘No excuse to act like that in front of customers regardless,’ a user wrote. ‘If customers acting up calmly call cops/security’.

‘Customer service rule number 1 customers always right, very first thing I was told when I started,’ another said.

Others disagreed blaming the ‘rude customer rather than bad customer service’.

‘He told the car rental guy to ‘shut up’ how is that respectful? It’s a two way street, don’t speak to someone rudely and expect politeness in return,’ one said.

‘Customer started it by telling the worker to shut up,’ a second wrote. ‘Don’t blame the worker for blowing up’.

Daily Mail Australia has contacted Goldcar for comment.
