The betting public got robbed by Nevada’s collapse against Dayton during Thursday’s Round of 64 March Madness action.
The Wolf Pack came into the game as slight 1.5-point favorites at most major sportsbooks despite being a No. 10 seed against the No. 7 seed Flyers.
With less than 10 minutes to go in the game, it appeared that number—let alone the game—was a lock, with Nevada leading by 17.
But things took a wild turn late, torching anyone who took Nevada against the spread or on the moneyline.
Dayton dropped 24 of their 63 points in the last 7:14 – all while holding Nevada to just four points – to pull off the massive comeback in its 63-60 win and move on to the Round of 32.
The Wolf Pack went scoreless for more than five straight minutes at one point during the Flyers’ 24-4 run, leading to a heartbreaking first-round exit.
Nevada got the majority of tickets at essentially every major sportsbook.
At Stations Casinos, the Wolf Pack got a whopping 70 percent of bets against the spread, according to Ben Fawkes on X.

DraftKings Sportsbook, BetRivers and BetMGM Sportsbook all reported that more than 60 percent of bets were on Nevada, per Fawkes.
Nevada’s shocking loss wasn’t the only big win for sportsbooks Thursday.
The Oakland Golden Grizzlies upset the Kentucky Wildcats, who were the second-most popular against-the-spread bet of the day Thursday at DraftKings.

Although they ended up with the win, the Arizona Wildcats had an unbelievable scoring drought of their own against Long Beach State that allowed sportsbooks to clean up.
Long Beach covered the 20.5-point spread after holding the Wildcats to just three points over the final 4:40, finishing with a final score of 85-65.
Dayton will play Arizona during the Round of 32 on Saturday.
