CTA Brown Line service resumes after food truck fire under tracks

A food truck caught fire under the tracks on Sunday morning, causing the CTA to temporarily suspend Brown Line service between Belmont and Kimball.

CHICAGO (WLS) — The CTA Brown Line is running with residual delays on Sunday afternoon after a food truck caught fire at a North Side station.

Early Sunday morning, a food truck caught fire while parked under the tracks near the Western Brown Line station, according to 47th Ward Alderman Matt Martin.

Due to damage caused by the fire, CTA temporarily suspended Brown Line service between Kimball and Belmont.

CTA ran shuttle buses between the stations, according to Martin, until service resumed.
