Macca’s restaurants around Australia are being majorly impacted because of an outage.

Many McDonald’s stores around the country were reported to be closed from around 4.30pm.

Several stores in Sydney, including Bondi Junction and Sylvania were unable to serve customers.

At Kingsford Macca’s in Sydney one customer told 9news.com.au: “An employee asked everyone to pay at the counter. She’s telling people who are trying to use the machine that the systems are down so they won’t be able to see their orders come through.”

Stores in New Zealand were also reported to be affected by the technology issue.

“We are aware of a technology outage currently impacting our restaurants nationwide and are working to resolve this issue as soon as possible,” Macca’s said in a statement.

“We apologise for the inconvenience and thank customers for their patience.”
