Developing: Missing Washington Business Owner Likely Kidnapped, Police Say

Police say a Washington woman who hasn’t been seen in days could be a kidnapping victim.

As CrimeOnline previously reported, 54-year-old Reyna Hernandez has not been at her business, Reyna Hair Salon, or active on social media since Monday. Police said the last person who spoke to her around 10 a.m. that morning said Hernandez planned to run errands and then travel to a residence in south Renton, where she previously lived.

Meeghan Black with the Renton Police Department told Kiro 7 News that three men currently live at the South Renton home. Two of those men have since been interviewed and now, Renton police say there’s reason to believe Black may have been taken against her will.

It’s unclear what evidence investigators found at the home or what was said in the interviews.

“Detectives have been following multiple, multiple leads. They’ve served many search warrants and uncovered evidence that leads us to believe she was taken against her will. We do expect foul play in this case,” Black said.

“Put out that plea that if anyone saw Reyna, heard from Reyna, particularly Monday, February 26, or even Sunday to please get in touch with us. That’s our goal here – to bring her back.”

According to Renton Police, Hernandez is about 6 feet tall and weighs around 200 pounds. She has black hair and hazel eyes.

Her car, a white and maroon Ford Flex with Washington plates APR9503, is also missing.

“She always tells everyone where she’s at or what she’s going to do, whether she’s going on vacation, but she never leaves her business just like that,” longtime friend Veronica Tapia told KOMO.

Renton Police said Hernandez does not have family in the area.

“She’s not answering her phone, she’s not returning phone calls. She’s typically active on social media. There’s been nothing. We can’t find her vehicle, and her friends can’t locate her,” said police communications manager Meeghan Black.
