TOM Hiddleston has been awkwardly caught by cameras as his ex Taylor Swift was praised at the People’s Choice Awards.
On Sunday night, the PCAs aired on NBC, which revealed what the people voted for in terms of music, movies, and TV.
During his monologue, host Simu Liu, 34, discussed the major popularity and praise Taylor, 34, has received over the last year with her Eras Tour and movie, as well as her relationship with NFL star Travis Kelce, 34.
“Finally, for the most iconic pop culture moment of the year, who could forget that one little movie about a blonde American icon that had the entire country dressing up, dancing the night away, and making huge waves at the box office. I’m talking of course about Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour movie,” he said, as many people thought he would discuss Barbie.
“Oh, I’m sorry did you think I was gonna say the other- no, no. Look, I was a swiftie long before i was Ken. Okay? Just wanted to be super clear where my loyalties lay. I’m a 1989 baby so Taylor and I, we’re bonding.”
After Simu discussed 1989, cameras went straight to Tom, 43, who previously dated the Shake It Off hitmaker for three months in 2016.
‘THAT’S CRAZY’
Eagle-eyed fans captured the awkward moment and shared their thoughts on X, formerly Twitter.
One Swiftie said, “Not them zooming in on tom hiddleston when they brought up 1989.”
Another said, also adding a wide-eye emoji, “The fact that the camera panned to Tom Hiddleston after Simu talked about Taylor.”
“Cutting to tom hiddleston after praising taylor swift is CRAZYY,” said a third.
A fourth said, “IM DYING SIMU TALKING ABOUT TAYLOR SWIFT AND THE CAMERA WENT TO TOM HIDDLESTON. IM DEADDDDDDDDDDD.”
“Them cutting to Tom Hiddleston after mentioning Taylor is so funny to me,” echoed a fifth.

Someone else exclaimed, “THEY JUST TALKED ABOUT TAYLOR AT THE PEOPLES CHOICE AWARDS AND THEN PUT THE CAMERA ON TOM HIDDLESTON LMFAOOO.”
THEIR RELATIONSHIP
In June 2016, the two began dating.
Hiddleswift became an item after The U.S. Sun revealed the sensational photos showing them kissing on the beach in front of her Rhode Island mansion just weeks after splitting with Calvin Harris, 40.
Their love story spanned the globe with the pair photographed in Italy, England and Australia.
Tom even introduced her to his mum, and at her Fourth of July party he was seen wearing the infamous I love TS T-shirt.
Splitting up that September, Taylor’s team said their whirlwind romance ended as Tom wanted too much publicity from the relationship. However sources close to Tom say he just got tired of the star.
IS THERE A SONG ABOUT TOM?
Swifties have long since believed that the track Getaway Car from her 2017 album Reputation is about Tom.
In the song Taylor talks about a relationship that she shouldn’t have got into so quickly – which means Tom, and how she was “running away” from an ex – which is her referring to her former love Calvin Harris.
The song says “think about the place you first met me” and how “the ties were black, the lies were white” – this is in reference to where Tom and Taylor meet at the Met Gala.
She also sings “It’s no surprise I turned you in /’Cause us traitors never win” – this seems again to refer to her being a traitor because she left Calvin for Tom and then it didn’t work out.
