The rapper’s tragic death was announced by Berlin rap music group BHZ on Sunday evening.

A black and white picture of Pablo was shared alongside some words “from the family”.

They stated: “The artist, actor, musician and part of BHZ, Pablo Grant, died unexpectedly on February 6th at the age of 26 as a result of a thrombosis.

“The family and friends of the deceased are heartbroken and ask that privacy be respected and no contact be made at this difficult time until further notice.

“We would like to thank all the fans who have accompanied and supported Pablo’s artistic path over the years.”

Thrombosis occurs when blood clots block a person’s blood vessels, which can obstruct the flow of blood through the circulatory system.

Days before Pablo’s shock death, rap combo BHZ cancelled its tour.

The group was supposed to begin its tour on Thursday, February 8 but cancelled the performances three days prior.

A statement shared via Instagram read: “Due to very short-term illness-related reasons, we have to cancel our upcoming tour without replacement before the planned tour starts.”

The tour was supposed to start in Vienna and end on March 1 in Berlin.

As well as being a successful rapper, under the stage name Dead Dawg, Pablo acted in multiple TV shows and movies including Misfit, SOKO Hamburg and In aller Freundschaft.

He was born in Berlin in 1997 and trained as an actor at the Transform acting school in his home city.

Fans of Pablo and BHZ have come out in droves to share their distress at losing a “legend”.

One person wrote on social media: “Rest in peace, Pablo! You have … touched so many people. Legend for life.”

Another said: “Thank you for being you,” while someone else wrote: “Rest in power, King. You touched an entire generation.”

A fan added: “You shone so brightly, inspired so much and always showed so much love. A hero, a genius and a person with an endless heart.

“We will forever honour your name, everything you stand for and your presence in our hearts/souls carry on. A true hero. A true king. Thank you for your blessings and rest in peace brother.”
