Emergency services attended the home on Somerset Avenue in Redwood Park at 8 am on Thursday but the 26-year-old could not be revived.
Major crime detectives attended the scene, searched for evidence and spoke to witnesses yesterday.
“Investigators will be undertaking a comprehensive investigation into the cause and circumstances of her death,” South Australia Police said in a statement.
“A 27-year-old man from the address was arrested and charged with administer drug of dependence,” SA Police said.
He did not apply for bail and was due to face Elizabeth Magistrates Court today.
