An Adelaide woman has received multiple bizarre items instead of the new TV she thought she purchased on Facebook Marketplace.

Debbie paid $550 in cash but was shocked when she opened the box to find a bag of kitty litter, two books, a hammer and a packet of sugar, which all felt like the weight of a TV.

The Craigmore woman caught the moment the scammer dropped off the fake TV on CCTV about 11.30am yesterday.

The footage shows the man offering to carry it into her house before accepting the cash and quickly driving off in a red Ford.

The man was advertising the TV on Facebook Marketplace after he said he’d won it in a raffle, Debbie said.

His profile has since been deleted.
