Opening up about the role, Dua said: “Lagrange is a smart, sexy spy.
“She’s very glamorous in a Versace look.
“I feel like she’s definitely my alter ego. It’s been really fun to play her character, one that I’ll take with me everywhere I go.”
She added: “This was my first time doing anything like this so I feel very very lucky.”
The film is set for a cinema release on February 2 before dropping on Apple+ TV in a few months time.
It has been a massive week for Dua after it was confirmed she is set to Dance The Night away at this year’s Brit Awards.
The singer is the first act to be confirmed to perform at the event which will take place on March 2 at The O2 Arena.
The Sun can also reveal Dua is gearing up to release the follow-up to her recent single Houdini, which will be called Training Season.
Houdini peaked at No2 in the UK charts when it was released last November.
In Training Season, set for release next month, she sings about playing the field as a single woman.
A source said: “Training Season is the perfect follow on from Houdini.
“It’s very much in the same vein and even has a slight crossover on the lyrics.
“The track is an electric dance earworm that will no doubt go down a treat with fans.”
But given she is now enjoying a whirlwind romance with actor Callum Turner, it might not be the most relatable tune to her right now.
Speaking on Entertainment Tonight, Callum laughed off rumours he will be at the Grammys with Dua next month where she is also performing.
He chuckled: “No, I am not a musician” when asked about a possible date night at the celeb-packed music event.
The pair are only believed to have been dating for a matter of weeks after being snapped locking lips earlier this month while Callum was promoting his new film, Masters of the Air.
