The body of a man who was reported missing earlier this week has been found in Sydney’s lower north shore.

The man, 59, was reported missing when he was last seen at a home on De Villiers Avenue in Chatswood, on Tuesday at 4.30pm.

An extensive search of the surrounding areas commenced.

Two days later, concerns were raised with police in relation to a person in nearby bushlands just before 3 pm on Thursday.

Officers found a man deceased and identified him as the missing 59-year-old.

A crime scene was established, and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
