A man has been found dead on a Doncaster street in Melbourne this morning.

Police located the man’s body around 5.30am and said he was also the victim of a home invasion earlier this morning.

Homicide detectives are investigating the circumstances of his death.

Police located the man on Eildon Street in the city’s east at about 5.30am.

The man died at the scene, and he has not yet been identified.

Police understand the man was the victim of an aggravated burglary on nearby Sargent Street, shortly before he was found dead.

No arrests have yet been made.

Homicide detectives are continuing their investigation.
