Ustad Rashid Khan was an Indian classical musician in the HIndstani tradition. He was from the Rampur-Sahaswan Gharana. He was the great-grandson of gharana founder Inayat Hussain Khan.
He was remarked as the assurance for the future of Indian vocal music by Pandit Bhimsen Joshi. Ustad Rashid Khan was a Padma Shir awardee, Sangeet Natak Akademi Award holder, and Padma Bhushan Awardee.

Ustad Rashid Khan passed away at the age of 55 on 9 January 2024 at a Peerless Hospital in Kolkata after battling with prostate cancer for a long time. He took the treatment for his cancer at the Tata Memorial Cance Hospital after being diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Later he decided on a hospital in Kolkata to pursue esclusive treatment. His health got worse on 23 December 2023 then he was admitted to the hospital where he was on a ventilator for oxygen support but couldn’t survive and passed away.
Last year, he suffered a cerebral attack. His dead body had been in Peerless Hospital in Kolkata till 6 pm. He was given a gun salute as part of his final rites on 10 January 2024.
