Detectives are appealing for information after a woman travelling in Western Australia was allegedly sexually assaulted while she slept in her car.
Two friends taking a trip through the state were sleeping in a silver Subaru Forester parked at Twilight Beach carpark in Esperance on Saturday, December 30, according to police.
Sometime during the night, an unknown person allegedly opened the car door and sexually assaulted one of the women.
“The offender left the area in a vehicle,” police said in a statement.

“Currently no description is available of the offender or vehicle.”
As police investigate, an appeal has been made to anyone in the area at the time, who may have information or has seen any suspicious activity.
