Homicide detectives are investigating after a woman in her 30s died in Broome, WA, on Christmas Day.

The woman was found with serious head injuries at a home on Roe Place in Cable Beach about 6pm.

She was rushed to hospital but later died.

Detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding her injuries.

A man in his 30s is currently assisting police with inquiries, WA Police said.
