CALL The Midwife duo Olly Rix and Helen George enjoy a drink – after growing close following splits from their partners.
The co-stars, who play lovers Trixie Franklin and Matthew Aylward, were snapped together on a night out with pals.

Olly, whose character is set to be written out of the hit BBC One period drama, gave a thumbs-up in the snap alongside Helen which he posted on Instagram, captioned with a black love heart.
They are said to be comforting each other after their break-ups.
Olly split from his make-up artist girlfriend Natasha Fagri after seven years in July – and life might have imitated art.

Speaking about his character in the Call The Midwife Christmas Day special, he said: “I think he’d like nothing more than to have a quiet family-orientated Christmas with his wife and son, but things don’t quite turn out that way.”

It comes after Olly revealed that the snow machine caused the most issues while filming the show’s Christmas specials.
He revealed: “There’s always fake snow and it’s nightmarish.
“You’re on a set that looks like a bubble bath.
“Or it’s not enough and you have to keep cranking up the machine.”
