An emergency bushfire warning has been issued for a blaze east of Perth in the suburb of Parkerville, with residents told they are in immediate danger.
A raging blaze is burning and threatening those near Boyamyne Road and Fringeleaf, Granite Road, Hedges Road and Flora Road in parts of Hovea, Parkerville and Stoneville.
At least one home in Parkerville appears to have been destroyed, vision shows.
Another 179 homes and businesses are without power, Western Power has confirmed.
The Department of Fire and Emergency Services are warning those in the area to act immediately to survive as firefighters battle the “out of control” and “unpredictable” blaze.
“There is a threat to lives and homes,” it said.
Residents in the affected areas are told it is too late to evacuate and to instead shelter in their homes away from the fire while making sure they can easily escape.
“You must shelter before the fire arrives, as the extreme heat will kill you well before the flames reach you,” DFES said.
“Close all doors and windows and turn off evaporative air conditioners, but keep water running through the system if possible.
“Choose a room with two exits and water such as a kitchen or laundry.
“If your home catches on fire and the conditions inside become unbearable, you need to get out and go to an area that has already been burnt.”
It is also too late to leave for residents east of Gliddon Road, who are told to seek shelter, while those west of the road are told to immediately evacuate.

An evacuation centre has been established at Brown Park on Salisbury Road in Swan View.
The last time Parkerville saw a fire of this magnitude was during the 2014 Perth Hills fire, which swept through the area across two weeks.
The fire, sparked by a fallen power pole, destroyed 57 homes and burnt through 392 hectares.
Second emergency warning in Callcup
A second emergency warning has been issued for those in southern parts of the state with Callcup, Crowea and Meerup residents urged to immediately evacuate if the way is clear.
“If you cannot leave, you need to get ready to shelter in your home,” DFES said.
“If you are not at home, it’s too dangerous to return.”
The warning affects those in Gumnut Road, Richardson Road, Lewis Road and Warren Beach Track in the south, Tattenham Road and Pemberton-Northcliffe Road in the east, Barker Road, Larkin Road to Larkin Bridge in the north, then south-west to the properties along the Warren River.
The alert was raised after a bushfire that begun in Meerup broke through containment lines.
Motorists are warned to avoid both areas as there are road closures in place across the state.
