Why did Jamie Spears have his leg amputated?
Jamie’s right leg was amputated after he contracted an infection that could not be contained by doctors, according to TMZ.
He was in the hospital for weeks and reportedly had five unsuccessful surgeries to try and contain the infection.
Ultimately, doctors decided that they could not save the limb and the best way to move forward was amputation.
How is Jamie Spears doing now?
TMZ also reported that Jamie was fitted for a prosthetic leg but he is currently using a wheelchair and a walker to move.

Jamie was photographed being wheeled in and out of Britney’s warehouse in Kentwood, Louisiana by someone.
He is still allowed to use it to store his RV and other property.

Earlier this year, Entertainment Tonight reported that she was only interested in reconciling with her mother, Lynne.
