Anna’s early life
Anna Cardwell was born on August 28, 1994.
She was the daughter of Mama June and her ex-boyfriend David Dunn.
She made her TV debut with her family on Toddlers & Tiaras, before also appearing on the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo series.
Step-dad pays tribute
Mama June’s husband Justin Stroud posted a photo on his Instagram to announce Anna’s death.
He captioned the photo: “Please keep our family in your prayers as we lost one of our angels last night. She passed away last night in our home peacefully with the people that was important to her.
“Please be respectful and we will keep y’all updated with everything. We love you Anna Banana.”
‘The sky looks a little bit different today’
Alana continued: “Watching my 29 year old sister this last year battle this horrible disease hasn’t been easy. Anna was a fighter & still is. Lord please wrap your arms around her 2 babies & our family as the next couple of days will make this all a reality.
“I’m so glad that you waited til i was home to take your last breath! I would’ve loved for you to get to see me graduate college but i know you will forever cheer me on in heaven!
“We will all make sure your legacy lives on forever. And i promise to always make sure to celebrate our birthday like you never left!
Alana concluded her post: “The sky looks a little bit different today. We will always love you Anna. You hit me hard with his one Anna but i know your in a better place now and pain free forever!”

Alana’s heartbreaking tribute
“This is one post I wish I didn’t have to make,” the Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star wrote on Facebook.
“Last night we all surrounded Anna with love & let her know it was okay to go. Unfortunately around 11pm Anna took her last breathe.
“Anna was in so much pain last night but now as a family we all know she is at peace now. I really don’t know what to say as my heart is completely broken.
Anna’s heartbreaking Halloween message
In the days before Halloween this year, Anna posted a message on her Instagram story.
She asked her followers to share a sweet message to her two daughters: Kylee Madison Cardwell, 7, and Kaitlyn Elizabeth Shannon, 10.
The mom of two captioned her post: “If I pass away unexpectedly, remind my kids every time you see them how much I love them, and how I would do anything in this world for them.”
“This is all I want.”
Anna complained of stomach pains
Ahead of her diagnosis, Anna complained she had been suffering with stomach pains in January.
She began to lose her hair and the ability to eat in the months to come.
Doctors diagnosed her with stage IV adrenal carcinoma, a type of cancer found in her liver, kidney, and lungs.
