Teen accused in fatal stabbing to face murder charge as adult after alleged victim, 16, dies in hospital

A teenager who just turned 16 is expected to be charged as an adult with second-degree murder after another boy of the same age died at the hospital from a brutal stabbing. The court in Omaha, Nebraska, scheduled a hearing to take place Dec. 20 to make official the homicide case against Christopher DeLong Jr., 16, according to local NBC affiliate WOWT.

The father of victim Clayton McCue, 16, told Omaha ABC affiliate KETV that a fight started near the home of Clayton’s girlfriend. The fight then moved to a church parking lot. His son was jumped, kicked and stabbed in the neck, he told the outlet. Other reporting describes the teenager as having sustained a stab wound in the head or a bad head injury in the Nov. 8 incident.
