Oleksandr, 24, sustained wounds from phosphorus burns and shrapnel to his foot during fighting in Zaporizhzhia.

Here, he takes part in a dog therapy session with his mother Nataliya at a rehabilitation center for soldiers suffering from injuries and psychological trauma on October 4 Kyiv, Ukraine.

The rehabilitation centre offers support to soldiers over a three-week period and uses conventional and alternative therapies including dog therapy.
