Two men have died while six others have been hospitalised after attending separate music festivals in Sydney over the weekend.

One man, aged in his 20s, collapsed at the Knockout festival venue at Sydney Olympic Park. 

He was taken to Concord Hospital where he died.

A second man, also aged in his 20s, had attended Listen Out in Centennial Park on Saturday.

He collapsed after returning with friends to a hotel in Chippendale. 

He later died after being rushed to St Vincent’s Hospital.

Autopsies will be carried out to determine the two men’s deaths. 

The festival season had only just kicked off this weekend, with almost 30,000 ravers the Listen Out festival currently touring the nation.
