Sia serenades Janet Jackson, more stars during surprise performance at Christian Siriano’s NYFW show

She’s the one “for a good time call.”

Sia made a surprise appearance during NYFW Friday, popping up at Christian Siriano’s star-studded runway show at the Pierre Hotel to treat the audience to a few tunes.

Clad in one of the designer’s larger-than-life tulle gowns and one of her signature (equally enormous) wigs — both in cotton-candy pink — the enigmatic Australian singer belted out “Chandelier” and “Diamonds” for a crowd that included Janet Jackson, Alicia Silverstone, Avril Lavigne, Kesha, Quinta Brunson and Laura Linney.

Laverne Cox was spotted singing along while filming the whole performance on her phone, and she wasn’t the only one getting into the groove; model Coco Rocha busted out an interpretive dance halfway down the catwalk during Sia’s second song.

The “Project Runway” alum’s chose of performer makes perfect sense; he and Sia have been friends for over a decade, and he’s dressed her a number of times for events including the Grammys and the Democratic National Committee’s LGBTQ Gala.

Siriano even designed the star’s wedding dress — in just two days, no less — when she married ex Erik Anders in 2014. And in 2019, the “Music” director was on hand to present the designer with the Fashion Visionary honor at the The Daily Front Row Fashion LA Awards, which she did (of course) via song.

While Siriano’s event started an hour behind schedule — likely on account of latecomer Jackson, for whom the designer’s moved entire shows in the past — most in attendance would likely say it was worth the wait.
