A man is assisting police after a body was discovered during a welfare check at a home north of Brisbane.

Police were called to the property at Torrens Road in Caboolture South on Wednesday morning and found a dead 41-year-old man inside.

The incident is being treated as a suspected homicide.

Police have set up a crime scene and are speaking to a 23-year-old man as investigations continue.
