Witness Number 3 was released last year on Channel 5, but has had a renaissance after its recent Netflix debut.

But TV fans who have sat down to watch the drama on the streaming giant are warning fellow would-be viewers against watching it alone .

The UK crime show is about single mother Jodie – played by Nina Toussaint-White – having her life thrown into turmoil after seeing a killer and his victim moments before the murder.

One user reacted to the show on Twitter by saying: ‘If you’re watching witness number 3 on Netflix do NOT watch it alone like I have.’

Another asked: ‘Has anyone watched Witness Number 3 on Netflix? I’m just starting ep2 & it’s freaking me.’

That being said, many of them and others did so while urging people to watch the four-part series if they can.

After Nina goes to the police, it becomes apparent that dark forces are at play, aiming to ensure her silence in a plot that has viewers ‘hooked’ across the four 45-minute episodes.

It leaves you wondering how far you would go to do the right thing.

One viewer recommended it saying: ‘If you’re into crime & in need of something to watch, Witness Number 3 on Netflix is ace.

‘I’ve watched half of it tonight and terrified to watch the next tomorrow.’

In a similar vein, someone posted in the early hours of the morning that it ‘wasn’t the best idea’ to say up watching the crime drama.

But many were unambiguous in their recommendations, describing Diarmuid Goggins’ series as ‘soooo good’ and ‘well worth a watch’ with a ‘great ending.’

Witness Number 3 -first released in July 2022 – also features Sue Johnstone and Ruaridh Mollica.
