Eighties band completely unrecognisable after Brit Award win and reality show disaster

AN eighties band are completely unrecognisable these days following their Brit Award’s win.

English pop duo Go West are made up of Peter Cox and Richard Drummie.

The men shot to fame over 35 years ago with their infamous track We Close Our Eyes.

It led to them landing a lucrative recording contract with the single placing fifth in the UK Single Chart’s top ten.

In 1986 they became household names by scooping the gong for Best Breakthrough Act at the Brit Awards.

They had other successful hits, such as Call Me, Faithful and King of Wishful Thinking – which even featured in smash-hit movie Pretty Woman.

Over the years Richard and Peter recorded and released five studio albums, with the latest going on sale in 2013.

However, the men look very different now from their younger days.

Richard, who is now 64, is still rocking and rolling albeit with more greyer locks.

Peter, 67, is too but sporting a bald look and back living in the UK, having relocated to California.

While Go West split up in 1993, the pair are back together and still performing to this day.

They recently announced they had teamed up with Wet Wet Wet for a joint headline tour.

Speaking about the tour, Richard said: “Peter and I are really looking forward to getting out on the road with the Wet Wet Wet boys. It’s going to be a lot of fun for us and of course, the audience!

“The shows will be like a jukebox of each bands’ hits. That’s why we’ve called it ‘The Best of Both Worlds Tour’.”
