Three swimmers have been rescued from the ocean on Sydney’s northern beaches after being swept out in a rip.
About 4.50pm police were told as many as four swimmers were in trouble at North Curl Curl, north of Manly.
But police now believe the two swimmers rescued by boat and a third winched to safety by the Life Saver helicopter about 5.15pm were the only people needing rescue.
After speaking to family members, police believe everyone has been accounted for.

One of those rescued needed CPR and were rushed to North Shore Hospital.
“Police have now spoken with family members on North Curl Curl Beach and believe with the rescue of these three people, everyone has been accounted for,” NSW Police said.
Surf Life Saving Club members, two PolAir helicopters, water police and officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command were all involved.
A NSW Ambulance helicopter also landed in a nearby reserve and a medical crew rushed to the beach.
