A nonverbal autistic man has been found safe after a vehicle was stolen in Brooklyn while he was in the backseat on Saturday night, according to police.

The 54-year-old man, identified as Brandon Simeon, was inside of a black 2010 Mercedes Benz M35 while it was left running with the keys in the ignition outside of 782 Union Street in Park Slope, police said.

Shortly after 7:30 p.m., an unknown suspect entered the vehicle and sped off with Simeon still in the back of the car, cops said.

Police confirmed that Simeon had been located safely around 12:30 a.m. Sunday morning.

He was found inside of the same car at Mill Street and Clinton in Red Hook — just under two miles from where the vehicle was stolen, police sources said.

No arrests have been made at this time.
