A ‘kind’ mother-of-three has died alone in a Turkish hospital after flying out for a £2,000 gastric sleeve surgery.
Leanne Leary, 38, suffered two heart attacks and died after undergoing gastric sleeve surgery in Istanbul on July 1.
If successful, the procedure would have seen Ms Leary remove 80 per cent of her stomach.
The mother-of-three from Oldham, Greater Manchester, was said to be excited about the procedure and sent an image of herself in a hospital gown to her family WhatsApp group.
However after several hours without contact following the operation, Ms Leary’s family were told by hospital staff, that the 38-year-old had suffered a heart attack but was in a stable condition.

It is believed that her parents flew out to Turkey the next day but upon arrival they were told that she had suffered another heart attack which had proved fatal.
The MEN report that Ms Leary’s family are searching for answers as to how her condition declined so rapidly and that her body has been flown back to the UK where an autopsy is expected to take place.
Steven Leary, Ms Leary’s ex-husband and father to two of her children, said: ‘Leanne was very bubbly and the life and soul of the party. She was very kind and generous and always willing to help other people even when she might need it herself.
‘My son is very angry. It was very unexpected and you don’t expect when you pay thousands of pounds for a medical procedure that this is going to happen. Her daughters are heartbroken.’
He also revealed that Ms Leary had problems with her weight for several years after struggling to lose the baby weight gained after the birth of two of children, Kyle, 15 and Caitlin, 14.
Rochdale Coroner’s Court confirmed that a file relating to Ms Leary’s death has been passed to the coroner, and an inquest will be listed in due course.
Mr Leary also added that Ms Leary’s body was flown back home to the UK after her family did not want a post-mortem to take place in Turkey.
A GoFundMe page was launched by a friend of Ms Leary following her tragic death with all three of her children now in the care of Mr Leary and his partner.
