Two people have been stabbed in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, with the person responsible on the run.
A 63-year-old woman’s finger was amputated in the attack while a 31-year-old man was also in hospital after being stabbed in the chest and stomach three times in Maroubra, in the city’s south-east
Emergency services were called to Maroubra beach following reports of a brawl at 4.30pm on Sunday.

The Westpac rescue helicopter happened to be flying nearby and deployed its medical team.
The man police believe is responsible fled.
Police said the three people involved were known to each other.
