MCFLY star Dougie Poynter has been left heartbroken after the death of his beloved ‘friend’.
The musician, 35, who is best known for being apart of the hit rock band, informed his fans of the sad passing.

He took to Instagram to announce the death of his “absolute unicorn of a cat” called Scratches.
Dougie posted a series of snaps of his furry companion as he described her as his ‘friend’.
He wrote: “On Monday my absolute unicorn of a cat Scratches passed away.
“She was incredibly affectionate and sweet with a side profile to rival Angelina Jolie’s. I was absolutely obsessed with her.
“Scratches was more than just a pet and more like a friend who was always waiting for me when I got home and never failed to cheer me up or melt me by simply existing.
“I will miss her greatly.”

Fans have been left devastated for Dougie and flooded the comments section with sympathy for the star.
One said: “I’m so sorry for your loss.”
A second wrote: “I am so sorry. They are so much more than just pets and know us 360°. What a huge void you must be feeling.”
“Never good when you lose a pet, like they understand you more than people,” said a third.
While a fourth commented: “I’m so sorry for your loss. Our pets are never with us long enough, but she had you for her entire life. She was so loved and adored, and will continue to be.”
Earlier this year The Sun exclusively revealed that Dougie was dating Netflix star Yasmeen Scott.
