A quiet residential suburb has been rocked after a house was sprayed with bullets in a late night shooting.

Bullets were fired into a house on Hill Road in Lurnea, south-west Sydney at 11.20pm on Friday. 

Police were told that a car was seen driving away from the location immediately after the shooting.

No injuries were reported to have taken place as a result of the shooting. 

A crime scene has since been established, and the area is currently being examined by specialist police. 

‘Officers have been informed that a car was seen to drive away from the location immediately after the shooting,’ NSW Police said in a statement.

Officers were seen on site searching the area for evidence.
