Police in Texas continue to seek tips in connection with the disappearance of a Pasadena woman who hasn’t been seen in over a week.
Jennifer Gonzalez, 30, was last seen June 13 while leaving her home at the Bryton Hill Apartments, reportedly to go to a nearby Walmart. Her 14-year-old son told police she left around 11 p.m. but did not come back. Her family then discovered that Walmart had already closed by that time.
Three days later, police found her SUV “in the 1200 block of Jefferson Street” in Houston, KHOU 11 reports.
Although Pasadena police reportedly said there were no signs of foul play noticed, Jennifer’s mother, Aura Gonzalez, said a pack of cigarettes and a man’s shirt were found inside her SUV, although Jennifer doesn’t smoke.
Meanwhile, Jennifer’s six children are desperate for answers and her safe return home. Aura said there was no way her daughter would willingly leave her children.
“I simply tell them ‘I can’t give you an answer right now but we’re doing everything possible so your mom can return home to you,’” Audra said.
Audra told Click 2 Houston that she thinks “something bad happened” happened to her daughter but remains hopeful until she hears otherwise.
