Kristin Davis weighs in on Kim Cattrall ‘Sex and the City’ drama: Fans are ‘upset’

Kristin Davis has no time for behind-the-scenes drama.

Last month, The Post exclusively reported that estranged cast member Kim Cattrall, who played sexed-up publicist Samantha Jones in “Sex and the City,” will make a cameo in a “cliffhanger” scene for the upcoming season of “And Just Like That.”

The scene allegedly sees Samantha talking to Carrie Bradshaw (Sarah Jessica Parker) on the phone — which may come as a surprise to longtime viewers as Cattrall, 66, has famously feuded with her former co-stars, particularly Parker, in the press.

Cattrall allegedly filmed her scene without interacting with any former co-stars — including Davis, Parker and Cynthia Nixon — and showrunner Michael Patrick King.

But Davis, 58, who reprises her role as Charlotte York in the Max network spinoff, doesn’t have any strong feelings towards Cattrall and her reprisal of Samantha.

When asked if any of the cast speaks to Cattrall, Davis told The Telegraph, “You have to respect people’s wishes.”

“I’m not gonna waste energy on it. I can’t change anybody. I do understand fans’ feelings — that they’re upset… I wish I could fix it, but I can’t. It’s not in my power,” she continued.

However, Davis has loved bringing Charlotte back to the screen, saying she “wouldn’t change a single thing” about her character because she has had so much growth and character development — though she doesn’t expect this to last forever.

“I really don’t think we’ll still be doing it in 10 years time,” she said. “That would be weird.”

Fans can catch up with the first season of “And Just Like That…” on Max. The second season premieres June 22.
