“Milkshake” singer Kelis is shaking off the rumors that she’s dating Bill Murray.
The musician-turned-farmer responded to fans in the comments of her Instagram section who requested explanations, writing, “Lol yeah maybe for now everyone’s dumb and will believe anything but the best part is we are both blessed, rich and happy.”
Kelis, 43, had previously told fans she “wouldn’t bother” to address the rumors at all, as she’s been on a luxe getaway to Greece with her kids.
Speculation about Kelis and the “Ghostbusters” star, 72, began last week when a source told the US Sun that the two have been “getting close for a while.”
Murray had been photographed with Kelis on multiple occasions and seen with her at some of her concerts, and the outlet claimed the duo bonded over their mutual bereavements.
The “Trick Me” musician lost her husband Mike Mora last year from stomach cancer. He was 37 years old. Murray, meanwhile, has been grieving the death of his older brother Ed.
“Whatever it is that has brought them together, and however unlikely it seems, they are both single and are having fun despite the fairly big age gap,” the insider claimed to the outlet.

Murray shares six sons with his two ex-wives, Margaret Kelly and Jennifer Butler, and Kelis shared son Shepherd, 7, and daughter Galilee, 2, with the late photographer.
She is also mom to son Knight, 13, with her ex-husband, Nas.
After Murray and Butler, 54, split in 2008, he was candid about missing having a permanent plus-one.
“It would be nice to go to some of these things and have a date… to have someone to bring along [to George Clooney’s wedding],” he told Howard Stern in 2014.
“But there’s a lot that I am not doing that I need to do, [like] working on yourself or self-development or something… becoming more connected to myself.”
