Five teenagers have today been charged after an alleged stabbing at a train station in Sydneynorth-west.

A 14-year-old boy is clinging to life after the alleged incident.

Police were called to a park on Herring Road in Macquarie Park following reports of a brawl at about 5.30pm yesterday.

On arrival, officers found the 14-year-old boy suffering a stab wound at the nearby Macquarie University railway station.

Police alleged the injured boy was involved in a fight with a group of teenagers at the park before fleeing to the station, where he was allegedly stabbed by one of the teens.

Following inquiries, five boys were arrested at Cherrybrook train station a short time later.

A 15-year-old boy and a 13-year-old boy were charged with affray and possessing a prohibited drug and granted conditional bail to appear before the Children’s Court on June 26.

A 14-year-old boy and two 17-year-old boys were charged with affray and granted conditional bail to appear before the Children’s Court on the same date.

Crime scenes have been set up at both locations and investigations into the incident have started.
