Bam Margera has been reportedly placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold. TMZ reports that the troubled reality star is considered “a danger to himself and others,” and was placed under the psych hold after police officers found him in Los Angeles.
The Jackass star was located on Sunday afternoon (June 4), where officers found him at Trejo’s Tacos by using his phone to determine his location, per TMZ.
His brother Jess Margera had previously issued a plea for anyone with information about Bam’s whereabouts to come forward.
“If anyone in the LA area knows of bams [sic] current whereabouts or a hotel he might be at please call the LAPD immediately. I am trying to get them to ping his phone but as usual it’s a whole huge process and I don’t think we have that kind of time,” shared in a June 4 tweet. “If you guys could all retweet this that would be really cool of you. Thanks for your help.”
When the LAPD found Bam, he was reportedly exhibiting “erratic speech and behavior,” prompting officers to bring in a psychiatric evaluation team, TMZ reports.

Sources told the outlet Bam was taken to a mental health facility, where he could stay for up to 72 hours.
Bam’s reported psych hold comes after the reality star posted an alarming video to social media last week in which he threatened to smoke crack until he died if he could not see his young son Phoenix, who he claimed was being kept from his by his estranged wife, Nikki.
“I haven’t seen Phoenix in two f—king months…I have to wake up every day, knowing that I probably won’t get to talk to him or see him,” he said in the since-deleted video, per a previous TMZ report.
He added, “I’m going to smoke crack with the bums down at the f—king boardwalk until I’m dead unless you deliver me f—king Phoenix. Get to work Nikki, or anyone that wants to help. I want Phoenix.”
