The Melton South teenager died on the street despite the work of paramedics, while a 16-year-old boy from Sunshine North was hospitalised with minor injuries.
Police arrested an 18-year-old boy from Burnside Heights today and charged him with intentionally cause injury, conduct endangering serious injury, affray and possess prohibited weapon.
He faced Melbourne Magistrates’ Court and has been bailed to re-appear at a later date.

A 17-year-old from Caroline Springs was also arrested and charged with conduct endangering serious injury, affray and possess prohibited weapon.
He faced a children’s court and was bailed to appear at a later date.
Last month a 17-year-old Hillside boy was charged with murder following the death.
