Renters are copping it tough around the country right now, with a diminished housing supply and rising interest rates combining to push up weekly rents.

But some places have it worse than others.

PopTrack data has revealed the suburbs around Australia that have undergone the biggest median weekly rent increases for houses in the 12 months to April this year.

And here they are – with two cities combining to fill almost the entire top 10.
