The 33-year-old flipped her car onto its side and became stuck in Goodwood near Rosa Street just before 11pm last night.

Police allege she eventually dropped the weapon and was helped out of the car.

“She was taken to Royal Adelaide Hospital for treatment and a mental health assessment,” SA Police said in a statement.

The woman is expected to be released into police custody later today.

She is facing numerous charges including driving without due care and assaulting police.
