Why Brooklyn Beckham Took His Wife Nicola Peltz's Last Name After Their Wedding

Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz are a match made in heaven. From the moment they first got together, it seemed evident they were destined for one another. So, when the time came for them to tie the knot, Beckham wanted to show how much he loved the actor by taking on her last name, per The Sun. A friend of the couple told The Sun, “Brooklyn is head over heels for Nicola — it’s a huge sign of his commitment to her, and his love for her.” Although it isn’t the typical route many couples take, Beckham was more than happy to add to his already famous last name.

A couple of months after they wed, Beckham revealed to E! News Daily Pop his reasoning to take Peltz’s name. He shared, “I just thought it was different. Not many guys take their wives’ names. So, I was just like, ‘Why not?’ It fit really cool together.” Peltz-Beckham does seem to have a nice ring to it, and the 24-year-old definitely thinks so. However, in this day and age, nothing seems official until it’s on social media. And not long after they walked down the aisle, Beckham shared the name change on Instagram. Beckham posted one of the photos from their wedding with the caption, “Mr. & Mrs. Peltz Beckham.” So, whether people like it or not, Beckham is proud to take on his wife’s last name.
