Two women about to board an American Airlines flight were left outraged after they were allegedly forced to change their clothes in public at the gate.
The women were leaving Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, one of the female passengers tweeted Monday as reported by the Independent.
“Omfg an @AmericanAir employee forced me and @keanuCthompson to change our pants before getting on the flight which actually turned out to be MORE REVEALING THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A REWARDS MEMBER,” passenger Chrissie Mayr tweeted earlier this week.
Mayr shared a photo of herself and her friend pre-outfit change. It features the pair in crop tops, one wearing a maxi skirt, the other in trousers.
The apparent after photo showed the pair wearing the same tops instead with shorts.
Mayr claimed in a tweet she had to change at the gate with “no cover.”
American Airlines did not immediately return The Post’s request for comment. It’s website advises passengers to: “Dress appropriately; bare feet or offensive clothing aren’t allowed.”
The airline does not specify what “offensive clothing” is.
American Airline’s social media account responded to Mayr’s thread: “Your comments concern us. Please join us in DMs, we’re here and ready to listen.”

“This was really humiliating and I’m very loyal to you guys,” Mayr responded back on Twitter.
The Post reached out to Mayr for comment.
But the apparent wardrobe censoring had social media commenters shaming the airline for demanding the women change their clothes.
“Why do you harass women in pants?” one critic responded in the Twitter thread.
Another scoffed that the women may have been discriminated against for their looks.
“I don’t understand…They were full length skirts! You looked beautiful, but I didn’t know it was a crime to be beautiful.. I have a feeling if you were 300 pounds with blue hair in those same outfits they wouldn’t have said anything,” another remarked on Twitter.
“Completely unprofessional … they should be ashamed,” another wrote.
Women getting their clothing policed has been an ongoing issue with a number of different airlines in recent months.
Last year, former “Love Island Australia” star Amelia Marni was apparently shamed for wearing a black crop top and cargo pants on a Jetstar flight. She was reportedly told her outfit violated the airline’s dress code.
The airline responded saying it did not have a policy regarding crop tops.
In a similar instance, TikToker Sierra Steadman was allegedly told to get off an Alaska Airlines flight also for reportedly wearing a crop top underneath a hooded sweatshirt with white shorts.
