A Melbourne woman has won more than $1 million in the Lotto after playing numbers that came to her in a dream.

The woman from Altona in Melbourne’s west scored a division one prize of $1,006,109.05 in Lotto draw 4277 on April 12, but only just discovered her fortune on the weekend.

“We had been away, so I hadn’t checked my ticket,” she said, noting she “almost fainted” when she finally did log on to her online account.

The woman said she had won using numbers she remembered from a dream she had.

“I always play these numbers,” she said.
