Gabby Agbonlahor has named Manchester City as Jude Bellingham’s next destination after Liverpool seemingly pulled out of the race for his signature.
The former Aston Villa striker stated ‘It shouldn’t be allowed’, but he thinks Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City will offer Jude Bellingham the required package to sign the Dortmund star.
It’s a body blow for Liverpool amid suggestions that they are backing away from signing the 19-year-old – it has been reported that Jurgen Klopp is ‘on board’ with that call.

But it will only rub salt into the wounds if he ends up at the Etihad because Man City have enough talent on the books already and to add the ‘generational talent’ would just be beyond bonkers.
From the goal-crazy Erling Haaland to the midfield magician Kevin de Bruyne, the defensive wall Rodri and the ever-improving £100 million star, Jack Grealish, it would be a cheat code adding Bellingham to proceedings.
But that’s exactly where Agbonlahor thinks Bellingham will end up, as he told talkSPORT Breakfast (12/04/23).
“Man City will go and get him (Bellingham),” said Agbonlahor. “They will offer the package. It shouldn’t be allowed, but it’s about the package.

“What signing-on fee can you offer the player? What wages can you offer the player? What can the agent get out of the deal? That’s what it’s all about. Liverpool are probably looking at it and thinking ‘Let’s not waste any time here, we can’t afford it’.”

BLESSING IN DISGUISE
If the inventible happens, and Liverpool don’t sign Bellingham, then fans have to see it as a blessing in disguise.
The powers that be at Anfield can then focus on buying multiple players for the price of one big superstar.
And, at the end of the day, it’s all about where Liverpool are this time next season, if they are battling for most of the trophies, including the Premier League title, then fans won’t care one jot if Bellingham isn’t on their books.
